Le Meridien Cyberport
100 Cyberport Road
Hong Kong
Estilo: Diseño moderno
Ambiente: Animado
173 Habitaciones
With a name like Le Meridien Cyberport, you’d expect this place to be wired to the rafters. And you’d be right. For those who are unfamiliar with the ins and outs of the Hong Kong–area IT industry, Cyberport is essentially a new purpose-built high-tech district on the south side of Hong Kong island — so if you’ve got business in this part of town, Le Meridien Cyberport is a natural choice.
The glossy modern design, then, is less about high-fashion boutique-hotel hipsterism, and more about updating the high-functioning business hotel for the 21st century. Furnishings are clean-lined and contemporary, panoramic views are just about universal through floor-to-ceiling windows, and the electronics, predictably, are state-of-the-art — 42-inch plasma televisions, iPod docks, and internet radio come standard.
In the bathrooms Le Meridien crosses over into traditional luxury-hotel territory, with contemporary fixtures and Hermès bath products, and the pool, spa, and fitness center provide the expected good old-fashioned physical comforts. If you’re in Hong Kong to see the sights, be warned, you’re a good 20 minutes outside of town — but if you’re here on Cyberport business then this is your high-tech home base.
How to get there:
By City Rail System: Guests arriving at HKG have the option of taking the Airport Express to Central Station in Hong Kong's city centre. The operating hours are 5:50am to 12:48am daily and trains run at 12-minute intervals. The journey time between the airport and Central is about 25 minutes and costs around HK$100 per person per single trip.
By Taxi: From the station, guests can hire a taxi to the hotel. Taxi stands are located at exit of the Hong Kong station. Travel time between Central and Le Méridien Cyberport is about 15 to 20 minutes and costs around HK$60 to HK$80 per single trip.
By Taxi: The highway from Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) to Hong Kong island directly connects with the road to Cyberport, such that travel time is an uninterrupted 35 minutes from door to door. One-way fare by taxi is approximately HK$450.
